What's the best way to stop child trafficking?
Make sure kids don't get trafficked in the first place.
What if we could warn children and their parents ahead of time? What if we could teach them about the lies traffickers use--and how to stand up against them?
The rate of trafficking would drop and millions of kids would never be trafficked.
That's the goal of The Born2Fly Project--educating kids and their parents about the dangers of trafficking through a strategic global campaign of books and printed materials.
On 9/9/09 we'll host a 1-day fundraiser to raise money for B2F: 9,000 people each giving $9 on 9/9/09 to stop child trafficking.
Day 29 Prize give-away
I'm announcing a prize a day to give away on 9/9/09. The latest? Five $25-gift certificates to PartyBeans.com.
This is a cool website where you can easily create customized gifts and party favors with your own color photos. Pick a container, upload your own photo and text, add candy (Jelly Belly beans, M&Ms, or mints), and you're done.
On 9/9/09, we'll give away 5 $25 gift certificates to random donors. Thank you, PartyBeans, for the donation!
Here's the answer to yesterday's Q&A:
Q: How can you tell if someone is being trafficked, and what can you do about it?
A: Here are signs that someone may be trafficked. If you suspect anything, call the national trafficking hotline: 888.373.7888.
And here's today's question:
Q: Does child trafficking happen in the US, and if so how often?
Know the answer? Leave it as a comment. I'll give the answer tomorrow, along with info on another prize. Watch this space.

Absolutely, Erin! I'm so glad you did. Thank you for helping to spread the word about 09-09-09. Your new blog -- http://mckennah.blogspot.com -- looks great!
